Howdy, Guys? I hope you all will be quite fine. Today, in this post, I will talk about a new production of C.L.W. (Chittranjan Locomotive Works), namely that’s Aerodynamic WAP-5 Locomotive, along the Tejas Livery.
This locomotive is not spotted by anyone yet. Only images of this locomotive is being shared on various Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram Groups, on which sources are remarked as C.L.W. official.
Now, following questions may arise in our minds:
(1.) For which tejas, this locomotive is being produced?
(2.) To which shed will this locomotive will be allowed?
(3.) Why this locomotives are going to be produced, as all current running tejas are limited to run up to 800 kns only (as they all fall under Day-Trains Category)?
So, now I am going to answer all these questions as quick as I can.
These type of locomotives and all other rolling stock is only manufactured only in following specific conditions:
(1.) For advertising purposes.
(2.) For Privatization Purposes.
(3.) On special orders.
(4.) For Export Purposes.
Now, this locomotive is produced on special order and for privatization purpose.
I.R.C.T.C. gave Indian Railways to manufacture these types of locomotives, to bring back their reputation (which, they lost in 2005, due to their catering issues), via providing their customers a convenient travel and service, and also a similar livery of their staff uniforms, their coach interior and exterior and locomotive too.
This locomotive will currently maybe alloted to GZB/Ghaziabad ELS, for running NDLS-LKO I.R.C.T.C. Corporate Tejas Express, because this locomotive can’t be allowed to MMCT-ADI I.R.C.T.C. Corporate Tejas Express, due to following mentioned reasons:
(1.) Unavailability of nearby ELS.
(2.) Unavailability of experienced staff.
(3.) No Maintainance Shed available with experienced staff.
(4.) No spare part workshop or distributor available nearby.
Now, you will raise a query that many loco sheds, maintainance sheds & spare parts workshop are available nearby MMCT & ADI.
I appreciate your queries, but you forgot that all those points are either DLS or used for diesel locomotives (Also & EMD) or some are for dual traction ELS (for, WCAM series locomotives). At all these points, neither the maintaince nor spare parts for single traction WAP-5 will be available nor the experienced Staff and workers.
Now, I am going to explain you that why C.L.W. is producing these sort of locomotives for I.R.C.T.C. & Indian Railways, as if you can remember that, recently Indian Railways released a notice in order to LHBify all ICF Garib Rath AC 3-Tier Coaches with LHB Humsafar with a slight increase in the fare of Garib Rath, after which Supreme Court of India has put stay over it, and which Indian Railways ordered I.C.F., Perembur, Chennai (TN) & R.C.F., Kapurthala, Jalandhar (PB), to manufacture the LHB coaches for Garib Rath layout (incl. Side Middle Berth). In the same document, it’s mentioned for R.C.F., Kapurthala, Jalandhar (PB), for producing LHB Tejas Rake, for over night journey (AC 3-Tier only).
For these trains, I.R.C.T.C. & Indian Railways are producing these sort of locomotives.
I hope you like this information, and will definitely share it with your all friends.
!!! THANK YOU FOR READING THIS INFORMATION TILL HERE !!!
HAVE A NICE DAY
